On April 27th, 2024, the Faculty of Computing and Technology at the University of Kelaniya transformed into a hive of open-source knwoledge as the Open Source Summit 24 kicked off. This event was a milestone for the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) community, drawing students, tech enthusiasts, and industry leaders from across Sri Lanka and beyond. It was a celebration of open-source technology, fostering connections and igniting passion for collaborative development. Here’s a closer look at the highlights, insights, and the vibrant community spirit that defined the day.

The day was charged with electrifying energy and enthusiasm as attendees gathered to learn from an impressive lineup of eight speakers.
